English Bulldog is generally a medium sized, heavy dog with a short and big wrinkly head, wide shoulders and strong legs. The head should consist of many folds, while the coat should be smooth and glossy. The dog should exhibit signs of strength, vigour and dignity, while its disposition should be kind and courageous. He may look formidable but not be aggressive or vicious at all. The eyes should be dark in colour, moderate in size and not sunken or bulging from the head.
