About Cornish Rex Cat breed
Description
The lithe Cornish Rex is heavier than one might suppose: males weigh from 4 to 5 kg, whilst females weight between 3 to 4kg. The American type looks more sophisticated compared to the more “rustic” English breed. The Cornish Rex’s muzzle is wedge shaped. The rounded forehead merges into a Roman nose, the tip of which is in line with the strong chin. The Rex’s high cheekbones are clearly defined. The cats’ ears have a broad base and a tapered shape, set wide apart. The tips of the ears are rounded. The oval-shaped eyes are widely spaced, with rich colouring that complements the coat colour. The Cat’s jaws are straight, though a slightly undershot jaw is allowed. The front teeth form a line that is clearly visible when the Rex’s head is in profile. The upper and lower canines are symmetrically positioned, with the former slightly deepened. The graceful and moderately long neck is well muscled. Cornish Rex has a slender and elongated body. The cat has a deep, moderately broad chest. The tail is: thin, rather long, and tapers smoothly towards the tip. The limbs have thin bones that contrast with the strong musculature. The hind limbs are more developed. The Cornish Rex’s paws have well-developed long toes, with oval pads.
Look
