Description
This medium-sized breed is lithe and muscular; an elegant looking cat with a long, wedge shaped head. The ears are large, and the eyes are almond shaped. Everything about this cat is long and slim. The neck and body are long and sleek with a graceful appearance. The legs are similarly long and slim, ending in round, delicate paws; and the long tail tapers to a point.

The Siamese cat has a sleek, glossy coat; famous for its colour point markings. The muzzle, ears, legs, and tail are darker than the rest of the creamy-white body. The point markings vary from a light blue or lilac to a dark chocolate or black colour. The Siamese is well known for its deep, vivid blue eyes. Unfortunately, some Siamese cats are prone to a few eye problems, and some individuals may appear cross-eyed, and may also have difficulty seeing in the dark.

Temperament
Clever and cuddly, the Siamese is loud and outgoing. Many are very vocal and seem to chat with their humans, or nag for attention! A Siamese will “helpfully” follow you around, a feline supervisor of human activity in your home, meowing pointedly as if remarking on your progress. The Siamese is also very clever, playful and active. Play sessions, and puzzle toys will keep this cat happy. You might also want to purchase a cat tree or pile a few boxes for your Siamese to climb; otherwise your cat may find their own potentially destructive entertainment, leaving your home in disarray.
Living with
If this chatty, active cat sounds appealing, then the Siamese might be the right breed for you. They do get lonely and upset if left alone for long periods of time, which can actually lead to depression. Unless you work from home, you might wish to get two Siamese cats. A pair of Siamese cats will keep each other company, and will be perfect playmates. The Siamese is an affectionate family cat. They make wonderful playmates for children, and tend to get on well with other pets; even dogs!
